With your brand new bike there is a recommended running in period of around 500kms. In which time there are two recommended services outlined below. During this time it is advised that the bike not to be ridden above half revs for long periods of time. Also a visual and physical check should be carried out regularly within this period. The first service is due at around 300kms and the second service at 1000kms, this can be arranged with your local dealer at a cost from £35+VAT.

On Road
Daily checks
1. Visual checks of nuts and bolts and tighten if necessary. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN
2. Before engine is run, grab exhaust and shake/pull to check for tightness

Weekly checks
1. Check all visible nuts and bolts and all spokes if applicable. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN
2. Oil level
3. Tyre pressures

If anything rattles or shakes or is loose get off the bike and tighten. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN
If any nuts or bolts persistently come loose please use “lock tight” or “thread lock” to secure offending items.

First service at 300 kms
Second service at 1,000 kms
Next service at 4,000 kms
Subsequent services every 3,000kms

Subsequent servicing is to be carried out within manufacturer guidelines and starts at £35+ VAT for routine servicing.

All our bikes come with a standard 12 months parts warranty (this does not affect your statutory rights). The option to upgrade this warranty to include all labour charges is as follows.

Scooters and mopeds between 49cc and 125cc - £120 for a year - £10 a month
Motorcycles between 49cc and 125cc - £160 per year - £13.33 a month
All quads and ATV’s £200 per year - £16.66 a month

ROAD TEST

Road test and check for smooth braking, correct handling and smooth gearchanging.

Check self-cancelling indicators (where fitted) operate correctly.

Stop and restart engine a few times and ensure easy start and stable idle speed.

Return to workshop and re-check drive chain tension and oil levels.

Remove hand/finger marks from machine and sign check sheet.
